Request Business Solutions Dealer network set to grow

Announcement posted by Request Broadband 11 Dec 2003

Request Business Solutions Dealer network set to accelerate with voice and internet bundled offerings
Request Business Solutions (Request Business), the direct sales and service arm of Request Broadband Pty Ltd (Request), is attracting the attention of potential dealers nationally because of its voice and internet bundled offerings designed to deliver generous ongoing revenue streams to dealers.
Request Business has committed to the Dealer Program with dedicated southern and northern based dealer managers. The attraction for dealers is the unique product set that they can take to their existing customer base. Request Business currently has nine dealers and is looking to have over 20 active dealers by the end of this year.
We are able to address two distinct dealer categories, said Garry McCarten, General Manager of Request Business Solutions. The first dealer category is service organisations who specialise in sales and service of key systems and PABXs and/or business mobile phones. We are confident that this group will embrace the dealership program because of the value proposition our Voice-on-Broadband product delivers.
The second dealer category is the smaller systems integrator and IT services organisations who seek to offer bundled voice and high speed internet services, without wanting to put in place the required service management infrastructure. Request Business offers these dealers a virtual broadband voice and data service delivery capability to deliver real communications value to the customer as well as generous commissions for the dealer.
Request Business dealers are able to offer customers:
voice-and-data combination services saving an average of 25 per cent off existing telephone bills
uncongested Symmetric or Asymmetric internet services which include free blocking of virus and intrusion attempts - RequestProtect.
Plexus Communications, who supplies integrated hardware and network solutions to its customers, has understood the value proposition of bundling Request's voice and data broadband offerings.
Our business customers will now be able to gain the benefits achieved through competitive line rental, competitive call structure and internet services, said Andrew Polidoras of Plexus Communications. We see our partnership with Request as the edge our customers, and we, have been looking for."
One of the first dealers to sign was Blue Connections. Albert Curigliano of Blue Connections said, In providing system integration services to existing and new clients, one of the more commonly asked questions to us was Can Blue Connections recommend or assist in a reliable DSL provider? By being a Request Business Dealer, it has ensured that we were able to provide our clients a reliable and secure communication product. This has also allowed us to focus on our core business and more importantly provide the client a total solution.
McCarten maintains that Request products give dealers the opportunity to remain focused on their primary business objectives while augmenting their communications product offerings to customers. Importantly, becoming a Request Business Dealer ensures that these organisations remain competitive and relevant to their customers by becoming involved and skilled in the rapidly expanding broadband market.
The dealers take on these additional services without the risks and costs associated such as billing issues, technical support, credit risk, marketing and branding.
Our dealers receive lucrative ongoing revenue streams with choices of either a significant trailing commission as a per cent of a customers combined phone and data services, or an upfront sales commission and smaller trailing commission, concluded McCarten. Moreover, our services also deliver to the dealers the opportunity to generate new revenues and remain competitive through their involvement in the rapidly expanding broadband market.
