Year on year sales growth doubles in ANZ to 43% in 2016 | ANZ now 6th largest sales market for Paessler globally | Reseller sales also record growth to 50%, contributed by ANZ channel network
SYDNEY, Australia – 15 February 2017 – Paessler AG, the innovative network monitoring specialist, today announced its preliminary financial results for 2016. Company growth has doubled year on year in Australia and New Zealand. Sales growth saw a rise to 43 per cent, propelling the region up one position to the sixth largest sales market globally, with the Reseller market also growing by 50 per cent.
At the backbone of Paessler’s success is the growing network of resellers. Eighteen new resellers were added into the Paessler channel with the network now comprising of over 86 partners in ANZ.
Unlike previous years, network monitoring has never been more topical thanks to global issues caused by events such as the DDoS attacks on Brian Krebs, French hosting provider OVH and Dyn’s DNS server, highlighting the continued importance of monitoring your IT infrastructure.
“Globally network monitoring has never been more topical. Whether you’re facing infrastructure challenges or the increasing threat of cyber-attacks, having the ability to see the state of your network is now an essential part of everyday activities. It has never been more important for us to reach our end-users and to do so effectively is through the channel. 2016 saw our channel growth rise by 50 per cent and moving into 2017 we will continue to invest in the channel to ensure our message and capabilities are reaching the right audience,” offers Andrew Timms, Sales Director for APAC at Paessler AG.
Looking to 2017
2017 will reinforce the reseller market commitment with the Red Education partnership continuing to deliver training for Paessler’s flagship product, PRTG Network Monitor, offering online and onsite training to ensure a seamless adoption for customers.
“In 2016 we put significant attention into creating new partnerships that would not only be able to further highlight our capabilities but also improve our relationship and success with the end-user. Through partnering with Red Education, who are second to none in experience, reputation and ability to understand technology, we are now able to offer continuing support customers through the channel,” Timms said.
To further demonstrate its commitment to the channel the Paessler team will be spending much of the year attending local events and roadshows to show off PRTG’s capabilities beginning at Cisco Live Melbourne in March.
