EMC widens lead for 4th consecutive quarter as world's #1 storage software supplier

EMC Corporation, the world leader in information storage and management, extended its worldwide storage software lead again in the third quarter of 2004 to 31.8 per cent revenue share, according to a new report released today by IDC[a]. On a year-on-year basis, EMC expanded its revenue share lead over the next-largest storage software supplier for the fourth consecutive quarter. EMC widened the gap to more than10 share points as organisations implemented EMC software to advance their information lifecycle management (ILM) strategies.
