Australian Data Storage Leaders Join Forces

In May 2002, XSI Technology merged with the e-DataGroup of companies, all specialists in the data storage market. These businesses included Dawn Technologies, Digital Tape Solutions (DTS) and e-Data Professional Services. The group has been renamed as XSI Data Solutions Pty Ltd and is now the largest Australian Data Storage specialist.

XSI Data Solutions is part of a publicly listed company, which has turnover in excess of $150 million, no debt and $40 million cash in the bank. This years dividend will be more than 8% fully franked.

XSI Data Solutions comprises a number of businesses all specialists in the data storage marketplace. They include: Dawn Technologies Australias largest Open Systems Data Management specialist, selling directly to the end user market. Digital Tape Solutions (DTS) is exclusively focused on the distribution market place and supplies to the Australian computer reseller market. e-Data Professional Services provides expert pre and post sale service as well as hardware and software consulting to organisations and customers of the group. XSI Technology remains a leader in the disk, tape and network based solutions segment and has taken a premier position in the SAN marketplace.

With the storage market expertise of Dawn, DTS and e-Data Professional Services added to XSIs proven performance and stability, the company has effectively strengthened its resources and increased its customer base.

Background
Eighteen years ago nine Australian data storage innovators formed a company to bring leading edge Data Storage solutions to the Australian marketplace. The nine members were all ex employees of Remington Australias System Industries division (SI) thus the name XSI arose.

XSI Data Solutions is proud to be one of the strongest organisations in the Australian Data Storage market place and that 8 of the 9 founders remain as part of the business today.
