Internet of Things Devices on display at SMART Booth E16
Sydney, 30 March 2017 – Apex Supply Chain Technologies will showcase two of its automated, self-serve locker solutions at Australia’s annual SMART Conference, on 29 and 30 March 2017. Delegates are invited to meet the team and demo the Apex locker systems at booth number E16.

The Apex AXCESS intelligent locker solution is the market leader in Internet of Things (IoT) -enabled industrial vending devices. Built for the effective management of mission-critical assets, including handheld mobile devices and calibrated tools, Apex lockers address several business issues.

“The pain is the same for all of our customers: a large amount of money is invested into their mission critical assets. But no time or money is spent on managing these valuable items,” said David Quayle, Apex Supply Chain Technologies Australia Country Manager

“Just the checking in and out of these items can be labor-intensive using manual asset management processes,”said Quayle. “Companies usually try and compensate for this issue by buying more devices than needed. This allows them to replace the devices that inevitably go missing or turn up damaged. The end result of manual asset management is it decreases worker productivity and increases costs.”

Significant Business Impact
Quayle noted customers automating asset management eliminate the time wasted by employees having to find the items needed to do their job. In fact, customers gain an average of 15 minutes per day, per employee in time savings. Across employees and shifts, this adds up to considerable cost-savings over the course of the year.

IoT-Enabled Devices Are Easy to Implement and Use
All of Apex devices are powered by three different technologies that, working together, enable the benefits of IoT. Apex SmarterSpaces® technology tracks every device action. Apex Connect n’ Go technology provides plug and run capabilities, allowing real-time communication with the Apex Trajectory Cloud™ platform. Trajectory Cloud collects and manages all of this data, automatically creating performance reports and alerting managers of status as warranted. Company executives can easily access data through a secure web portal or mobile app.
