Rural Press signs up with ConnXion

Announcement posted by ConnXion Limited 09 Jun 2005

Key Points:
Rural Press Limited has contracted to commence the use of the ConnXion document production and delivery service.
Rural Press has upgraded their newspaper subscription system and will now use ConnXion for delivery of subscription notices and other customer communication information originating from the SAP financial system. This further evidences the value of ConnXion for organisations using SAP or any other enterprise financial system.
Rural Press is demonstrating leadership within the publishing sector and will now deliver their notices based on customer preference, including paper/post, email or fax.
ConnXion is also currently in negotiation with other large Publishing and Media companies in Australia to expand its growing client base.
ConnXion Limited [ASX Code:CXN], a leading provider of document production and multi-channel delivery solutions, today announced that it has signed a contract with Rural Press Limited, one of the largest publishers of metro, regional and agricultural news and information.
The list of new ConnXion customers continues to grow and now includes leading multi-national, Australian based corporations and Government agencies such as DHL, Schenker, Cummins Engineering, Smorgon Steel, Data Monitoring Services (TAB) and Queanbeyan CC.
Subscription renewal for newspapers and magazines is an essential process for every Publisher, in fact for many it is their life blood. The cost of delivering subscription renewals on paper via the post is high and the process inefficient. Those Publishers who offer customers the ConnXion flexibility of communication and renewal confirmation capability will differentiate their business from that of their industry peers and realise significant cost savings. Electronic communication is the answer and the ConnXion service provides a completely seamless capability for publishers to offer multi-channel delivery options.
We chose ConnXion because of the ease and speed of integration with SAP and the expectation that we will realise a significant reduction in our cost of managing the subscription renewal process, said Mike Vorias, SAP Applications Manager, Rural Press. We expect that this will result in a greater percentage of subscription renewals.
The ConnXion Hosted Service is an outsourced service model which will enable Rural Press to remotely use ConnXion as its communications infrastructure to produce business documents such as subscription renewals, statements and reminder notices and seamlessly deliver them to their customers via email, fax, short message service (SMS) and the post.
This is a significant opportunity for ConnXion within the Publishing and Media industry, said David Colvin, CEO of ConnXion Limited. We are currently negotiating with numerous other large publishing organisations within Australia.
