Announcement posted by SpectraLink 14 Aug 2002

Company rapidly building reseller and distributor network for sales of market-leading NetLink Wireless Telephones
SpectraLink Corporation (Nasdaq: SLNK), the leading manufacturer and supplier of workplace wireless telephone systems, today announced that it has expanded its business to the Asia-Pacific region and opened a regional sales office in Melbourne, Australia. Additionally, SpectraLink is constructing a comprehensive network of resellers and distributors for the companys market-leading NetLink Wireless Telephones.

NetLink Wireless Telephones operate on a converged IEEE 802.11b wireless local area network (LAN), allowing enterprises to leverage a single wireless infrastructure for both voice and data communications. The NetLink Wireless Telephones support standard and proprietary IP protocols for integration with enterprise IP telephony applications such as Ciscos CallManager, and can also integrate with traditional business telephone systems using SpectraLinks exclusive LinkPlus digital interface technology.

NetLink Wireless Telephones provide enterprise users with the ability to make and receive calls wherever they are within the workplace while still accessing all the features available on a desktop phone, including voicemail indication and call transferring. NetLink Wireless Telephones result in greater workplace mobility, increased on-site productivity, and rapid response to customers needs.

We are extremely excited to expand the global reach of our NetLink Wireless Telephones into the Asia-Pacific market, said Mike Cronin, president of SpectraLink International. We are rapidly building our network of resellers and distributors so we can extend our market leadership to a region that is quickly embracing voice and data communications over 802.11b wireless LANs.

Commented Mark Ablett, Managing Director South East Asia Pacific, SpectraLink is delighted to be setting up their regional sales office in Melbourne. Months of background work has ensured certification of SpectraLinks range of products and given us a through understanding of the Asia Pacific and Australian markets. We have no doubt that the benefits achieved by our customers in the US will be mirrored here and look forward to bringing our range of wireless telephone systems to the local market and to success growth throughout the region.
