Major sponsor InFocus will be showcasing three of its flagship InFocus 777s at the event to bring the concert performances of Delta Goodrem, Vanessa Amorosi and Marcia Hines to larger than life in glorious colour. The InFocus 777 is the companys three-chip DLP home cinema projector that brings the performance of commercial digital cinema to the home theatre connoisseur.
Lee Whincup, country manager of Australia and New Zealand, says: InFocus is delighted to be supporting this world-class event, which does so much to raise money for childrens health charities such as the Delta Goodrem Lymphoma & Leukaemia Research Unit, The Royal Childrens Hospital Brisbane and RACQ CareFlight.
The event offers some of the finest sporting experiences available in Australia, with 1,500 keen golfers vying to gain a place in The Classic Weekends annual golf final headed up by Adam Scott. Hundreds of spectators are expected for the celebrity tennis Pro Am tournament featuring Alicia Molik, Scott Draper, George Gregan and Sam Stosur, whilst Olympic Gold Medallist Natalie Cook will host a beach volleyball tournament. $7million worth of prestige boats will also attend from Riviera and host a marlin-fishing tournament daily.
Australia rugby captain George Gregan will host the Q Ball on Saturday 17 December, which will raise $500,000 to build a much-needed playground for terminally ill kids at the Royal Childrens Hospital Brisbane. Delta Goodrem will fly in from New York for Sunday 18 December to perform live with her band, before a final firework spectacular to close the event.
