The company also reports triple-digit YoY sales growth in the ASEAN region, and will discuss network resilience strategies at Data Centre World 2017 in Hong Kong

Brisbane, Australia – May 3, 2017 – Opengear (www.opengear.com), a leading provider of critical infrastructure management solutions through advanced console serversremote managementmonitoring, and cellular out-of-band products, today announced new partnerships and hiring in support of sustained customer growth throughout the APAC region. Opengear has achieved a record increase in year-over-year sales growth for APAC, and sales have more than doubled in ASEAN countries.

“The tremendous growth we’re experiencing in the APAC region speaks to enterprises’ foundational need to maintain uptime of essential network infrastructure at an absolute maximum,” said Brendan Walsh, Opengear’s Sales Director for the APAC region. “Through our new partnerships, personnel, and industry outreach in APAC, we’re proud to say that Opengear is expanding its reputation as a highly capable provider of solutions that these enterprises can absolutely depend on.”

To continue expanding implementations of its solutions into more organisations throughout Asia, Opengear has hired Kelwin Chan as its new Sales Manager for ASEAN and Hong Kong. Based in Singapore, Chan joins Opengear with an ASEAN-specific background in effective product and sales management. He will focus on expanding Opengear’s presence across Asia, helping companies to strengthen their network resilience both in enterprise locations and in micro data centres.

To assist in further driving adoption throughout the APAC region, Opengear has partnered with Innovix Distribution Singapore, one of Asia’s leading technology distributors. A Fortune 500 company, Innovix has 60 years of distribution expertise in Asia and operates in nearly 50 locations throughout Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and Malaysia. Innovix serves more than 80 leading enterprises, including many communications technology and solution providers which fit well with Opengear’s solutions. Given Innovix’s robust logistics capabilities for handling product distribution, Opengear will utilize Innovix to more rapidly and efficiently make its products available to Asia-based organisations.

Opengear has also partnered with Sycomp, an internationally recognised systems integrator with a strong foothold in the APAC region. Specialising in innovative data centre and enterprise security solutions, Sycomp advises clients and performs installation and implementation of its partners’ technologies. With this partnership, Sycomp will now provide Opengear products to organisations ready to benefit from the company’s Smart OOB™ out-of-band management and Failover to Cellular™ capabilities.

“So many of our clients are highly connected enterprises for which business continuity is absolutely essential,” said Wayne Giles, General Manager – Asia, at Sycomp. “With Opengear as a partner, we’re able to offer clients intelligent and resilient network infrastructure management that safeguards their connections with their own customers.”

Opengear will also be heavily involved in Data Centre World 2017, coming up May 24-25 in Hong Kong. In addition to exhibiting, Brendan Walsh will also be speaking on the value of network resilience in the data centre. The session will highlight the implementation of out-of-band management with cellular failover as the “always on” access route of last resort, and look at potential efficiency improvements during deployment and remediation phases.
