MODE welcomes experienced Studio Manager in Melbourne

Announcement posted by MODE 22 May 2017

MODE Design is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Studio Manager, Terry Mason, to the Melbourne team.

Terry Mason brings to MODE a wealth of knowledge and experience, gained over more than 30 years working at Associate, Associate Director and Director level with major local practices including Denton Corker Marshall, Carr Design, Bates Smart and Cox.

Following on from his role as Director at McIldowie Partners, Terry’s appointment to MODE comes at an exciting time for the organisation, benchmarking on his successful delivery of numerous education projects across Melbourne, country Victoria and New Zealand.

Terry says his passion for working in the education sector includes showcasing how buildings and surrounding environments can teach through expression and demonstration – organisationally, environmentally, structurally and artistically.

In addition to being Associate in Charge and Project Architect for the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Terry has been instrumental in leading teams in delivering significant commercial, residential and recreational projects.

Some of these include proposals for the Melbourne Grollo Tower, Docklands Stadium, Village Docklands, the La Trobe University Sports Park Precinct master plan review, a major residential, commercial and retail town planning submission in South Yarra, along with other residential and commercial developments throughout Melbourne, Queensland and New Zealand.

In the coming months, MODE plans to secure and further develop unique projects from the Melbourne studio.

With Terry on board, the studio will be planning for the long term by building on the existing project base, while growing the office confidently across a broader range of sectors and varying project sizes.
