SYDNEY, 19 July 2017 – Zettagrid today announces the launch of the new SecondSite™ Interzone disaster recovery (DR) solution for VMware Virtual Data Centre (VDC) customers, a real-time disaster recovery replication solution built on the powerful Zerto platform. SecondSite™ Interzone allows instant replication of virtual machines from one geographic zone to another zone, providing complete security and recovery into the Zettagrid cloud.
Interzone is an expansion of the award winning SecondSite™ Disaster Recovery solution, to provide more choice when it comes to disaster recovery for its cloud customers.
Going beyond replicating virtualised IT environments from on-premises into Zettagrid’s cloud, businesses whose environment is already in Zettagrid’s cloud can now replicate into other geographic zones. For example, replicate from Sydney to Melbourne, or Melbourne to Perth.
This means if an outage impacts business operations due to a Ransomware, administrative error or an environmental disaster, IT services can be up and running within minutes in a different geographic location until the primary site is recovered. Customers will be able to roll back to before the event took place, which means minimised financial and operational impact to the business. This is an Australian first in the disaster recovery space!
