Mark Evans, co-founder of tech agency Swaytech, shoulder tapped to head up Endace’s global marketing team
Auckland, New Zealand — July 19, 2017 — Endace, a world leader in high-speed network recording and network history playback, announced today that it has appointed Mark Evans as it’s VP Marketing.

Evans has deep experience with Endace, having worked with the company for several years as part of the tech PR and marketing agency, Swaytech, that he co-founded. He brings a unique combination of technical, marketing and digital publishing experience to the role as well as a strong understanding of Endace’s products and customers.

Evans was the founding CEO of the Interactive Advertising Bureau in New Zealand, and prior to that spent more than a decade at global technology publisher IDG Communications. At IDG, he held the roles of CIO and CTO in New Zealand before being seconded to a global role as an advisor on Internet publishing technology, editorial and sales. He was a frequent contributor to Computerworld, CIO Magazine and Management Technology Briefing, and wrote a PC World column on programming for several years.

“I’m somewhat unusual in that my career has always combined technology with communication,” Evans says. “The challenge of understanding technical solutions and describing the benefits of them so that non-technical people can understand them easily has always interested me.”

”In the case of Endace’s Network Recording and Playback technology, the benefits offered are profound. It enables customers to protect their brands and reputations, secure critical data, and ensure the reliability of their vital network infrastructure. The opportunity to show customers how we can help them accomplish such important outcomes is really exciting, and being part of the rapidly evolving cybersecurity industry is fascinating too.”

Endace CEO, Stu Wilson, says “We have known Mark for many years. It took some time to get him into the company but we’re really pleased he’s agreed to join the team. He knows our products intimately, which is a great asset. Having him on board will really assist in continuing the rapid growth at Endace.”

Evans will be based in Endace’s Auckland Head Office and is currently hiring to build Endace’s marketing team.
