emt Distribution and NinjaMSP to Disrupt Managed Service Provider (MSP) Market in Australia, New Zealand and Asia

Announcement posted by emt Distribution 25 Jul 2017

Ninja RMM, sold 100% via the channel, addresses eroding MSP value propositions and market instability, offers additional cyber security revenue opportunities
Adelaide, Australia – 25 July 2017: Cyber security specialist, emt Distribution today announced that California-based NinjaMSP has selected it to distribute the cloud-based Remote Monitoring and Management solution, Ninja RMM, to managed service providers (MSPs) in Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

With a strong distribution partner and a 100% channel strategy Ninja is set to disrupt the MSP market in the region. The Ninja RMM solution addresses eroding MSP value propositions and market instability, while offering additional cyber security revenue opportunities. Over 1000 MSPs worldwide have already converted to “IT Ninjas”. With around 100% growth, the number will hit 2000 by the end of 2017.

The distribution agreement will see emt expand its RMM and security solution offerings to MSPs in Australia, New Zealand and Asia, boost NinjaMSP’s market share in the region and increase service levels to existing customers. emt will also distribute the Ninja NMS software-as-a-service network monitoring solution for MSPs.

“We have selectively and carefully selected emt as our distributor in the ANZ/Asia region because we share the same values and vision,” said Sal Sferlazza, CEO and Founder of NinjaRMM. “Cloud is not an afterthought for emt or for us; it’s the primary way of doing things. We have been impressed by the level of knowledge and experience that the emt management team has with dealing with MSPs and cloud vendors. We have full and unconditional alignment with their philosophy, which is quite amazing.”

With recent vendor shifts in the RMM market over the last 18 months, MSPs are looking to vendors who can satisfy existing functional requirements, provide additional revenue opportunities and offer good, stable working relationships, said Scott Hagenus, CMO of emt.

“A key factor for us in taking on the distribution is NinjaMSP’s absolute commitment to MSPs. While they could be considered the ‘the new kid on the block’ the people behind NinjaMSP know what the market likes, wants and needs,” said Hagenus. “They don’t lock MSPs into lengthy contracts and they employee zero commission account executives because long term relationships are the goal, not one off super contracts.”

NinjaMSP created Ninja RMM to directly address a number of issues that have plagued MSPs. It solves the problems of bloated RMM solutions, costly implementations and steep learning curves that have eroded many MSPs’ value propositions.

“We wanted to make an RMM that is really easy to use. Everything in the UI is clickable and intuitive,” said NinjaMSP Product Manager, Andy Zhu. “Instead of a week or more of training, an MSP technician can learn everything they need to start using Ninja’s cloud-based, software-as-a-service RMM tool during an hour-long onboarding session.”

Ninja RRM’s rapid growth has been has been spurred by its intuitive, simple management console and integrations with leading vendors in professional service automation, security, backup, and remote access and control. This gives MSPs choice in both their service offering and the vendors they use within their RMM.

“With integrations for third party patch management, Webroot endpoint protection and backup, MSPs can protect their customers from ransomware attacks,” said Hagenus. “With customers backed up, protected and monitored, Ninja is virtually security as a service.”

That gives MSPs an opportunity to extend their reach to customers too big for a traditional MSP but too small for a managed security service provider (MSSP), said Hagenus. “And if the customer is big enough to handle security themselves, MSPs can sell them Ninja’s corporate product, which is also sold 100% through the channel, and keep the relationship.”
