Partners with charity to Run Melbourne and raise funds for vulnerable children

Melbourne, 26 July 2017 – IT solutions and managed services provider Thomas Duryea Logicalis (TDL) will be participating in Run Melbourne in support of managed services customer, Berry Street, the largest non-for-profit child and family services organisation in Victoria.

Run Melbourne is an annual fund-raising event that takes place this Sunday, 30th July, in Melbourne. A team of 13 employees from TDL has committed to covering a total of 98 kilometres between them in the race to raise a total of $2000 from friends and family, in support of the charity.

Berry Street is one of Victoria’s oldest welfare organisations, established in 1877. It offers support services to vulnerable families, young people and children, including education, foster and residential care, case management and family violence services.

Jurgen Schaub, Senior Manager, Information and Systems, Berry Street said: “Our priorities are our clients, some of the most vulnerable children and young people in Victoria, and their parents. Partnering with TDL as our managed services provider enables us to provide better support to our staff, who are often placed in very tricky situations and need to be able to depend on their technology. It also frees up our internal IT resources to focus on projects that enhance our service offering.

“We were looking for a partner that really understood the challenges of the non-for-profit sector. TDL demonstrated not only technical skills, but their commitment to supporting our vision. We've now engaged with TDL in the planning, building, and running of our environment and look forward to literally running with them at the end of July!”

TDL have had a long standing relationship with Berry Street, working together on procurement and other various project-based activities for a number of years. The company has recently taken on a primary operations role, including providing managed services, running Berry Street’s core operations, and providing support to its employees.

Michael Chanter, Chief Executive Officer, TDL said: “The recent restructure of our business allowed us to streamline our operations into offering customers consulting and advisory services; support their digital journey with professional services; and freeing up their time and resources with our managed services and outsourcing capabilities. So, essentially, ‘plan’, ‘build’ and ‘run’. And this is what we have been able to achieve with Berry Street. We’re proud to have supported them on their technology journey, strengthen our relationship further by participating together at Run Melbourne, and demonstrate our full commitment to their cause.”
