First public auction of the HSV GTS-R W1

Announcement posted by Manheim 07 Aug 2017

The fastest and most powerful production car ever built in Australia and the first time a GTS-R W1 has been offered at auction

One of Australia’s leading automotive auctioneers, Manheim, is holding an evening prestige vehicle auction on Thursday, August 10 at 6.00pm. As part of the line up the undisputed king of modern Australian muscle has arrived – the HSV GTS-R W1. The fastest and most powerful production car ever built in Australia, this is the first time a HSV GTS-R W1 has been offered to the public via auction.

As an instant collectable the W1 features a hand built 6.2lt Supercharged LS9 V8, producing a mind blowing 474kw of power and a staggering 815nm of torque.

Also under the metal skin is SupaShock coil over suspension, adjustable bi-modal exhaust, and a close ration 6-speed manual transmission.

The car will be sold with all delivery plastics still intact, for the buyer who is looking to protect their investment into the future.

When announced earlier this year, the GTS-R W1 was an immediate sell-out and many owners are still waiting for their car to arrive.

The Manheim Prestige Auction is providing an exclusive opportunity to buy this car at auction and beat the waiting list.

The auction will commence at 6.00pm at Manheim, located at 4 Gordon Luck Avenue, Altona North. Members of the public are welcome to inspect the vehicles during the weekdays leading up to the auction.

The auction is a regular event in the sales calendar in Melbourne and will kick off with over 90 late model prestige and exotic vehicles offered for sale to members of the public.

All vehicles are listed on the website in the lead up to the auction, with detailed information, photographs and online catalogues available for viewing. Vehicles will also be available to purchase online with the auction ‘Simulcast’ live over the internet, allowing buyers to participate in the physical auction online.

To find out more about this auction or the vehicles on offer, please call Jonathan Ciantar on 0400 717 712 or Aaron Lofts on 0478 307 148.
