What: Ferragosto Italian street festival celebrates 20th anniversary

CELEBRATE 20 YEARS OF ITALIAN FESTIVAL, FERRAGOSTO Great North Road, Five Dock will come alive with the tastes and sounds of Italy this Sunday. With four stages, more than 120 stalls, Italian motor vehicle displays, amusement rides and a petting zoo, Ferragosto promises to be the perfect way to explore the beauty of Italian culture in Five Dock and celebrate the vibrant multiculturalism in the City of Canada Bay. Highights include: · Australian Idol finalist, Cosima De Vito performing (1.40pm) · Renowned chef Massimo Mele demonstrating his cooking prowess (2pm) · Salt Meats Cheese’s cheese making demonstration (12.30pm) · Nick Jr.’s PAW Patrol Ready for Action Show (11am, 12pm, 1pm) · Dance @ Nikki Webster (11.30am) · Sundae building competition for children with Duccio Gelato (1.30pm) · Gelato blind tasting competition with Cremeria De Luca (2.20pm). The event will also feature authentic Italian food with pizza, pasta, cannoli, Italian ginger bread, gelato, antipasto, homemade sausage and sweets, just some of the delights that will have event-goers’ tastebuds dancing.
