Treasury Brisbane to entertain festival thrill seekers

Announcement posted by Treasury Casino & Hotel 29 Aug 2017

Treasury Brisbane is once again gearing up to support Brisbane Festival – the most iconic, dynamic and diverse event in the city’s cultural calendar. The Festival will be held between 9-30 September 2017 with Treasury Brisbane providing several activations and on-property experiences for festival thrill-seekers to enjoy.

Entering the fifth year of major partnership, The Star Entertainment Group Managing Director Queensland, Geoff Hogg, said how delighted he was for the organisation to support such an important community event.

“Brisbane Festival is one of Australia’s premier events that supports local and international artists and attracts over one million residents and visitors into the city. The festival underpins the eclectic characteristics of Brisbane and is helping to cement the city as a pre-eminent tourism, leisure and entertainment destination."

During the festival period, Treasury Brisbane Arcadia will take over South Bank, providing visitors with a vibrant hub to meet up and enjoy a plethora of entertainment including music acts, burlesque dancers and street performances. An abundance of food stalls will also be available, making Treasury Brisbane Arcadia the definitive pre-show destination.

“Treasury Brisbane Arcadia is the pulsing heartbeat of the festival, a place where members of the community can come together and experience excitement, a buzzing atmosphere and carnival feel. Free entry and a multitude of experiences ensures there will be something on offer for everyone”, said Geoff.

Treasury Brisbane Arcadia is open six days a week (Tuesday to Sunday) and entry is free.

Treasury Brisbane is also proud to sponsor a national first - the frivolous, frisky and friendly festival companion, Frank. Situated in the Treasury Brisbane Arcadia, Frank is the festival’s host that will deliver non-stop entertainment with the assistance of artificial intelligence and a slightly jilted sense of humour. Frank will entertain festival thrill-seekers through his giant screen façade and will delight visitors with his festival commentary and jovial banter.

Thrill seekers will continue to be entertained when they venture over to Treasury Brisbane.

Only a short walk over the Victoria Bridge, visitors will be able to head to The Kitty and indulge in several Brisbane Festival inspired cocktails such as the blissfully sweet Arcadian, straight talking Negroni, Frank, The Concubine minty Mojito, and slightly Unhinged Margarita. With award-winning restaurants and gaming entertainment, Treasury Brisbane is the ultimate post-show destination for the playfully sophisticated.
