H2COCO TAKES ON THE JUICE AISLE WITH NEW LUNCHBOX RANGE THAT PACKS A PUNCH

MEDIA RELEASE – SEPTEMBER 2017 - After leading the market with their coconut water and watermelon water beverages, H2coco has set sights on the juice aisle with their innovative Lunchbox Range that will change the way consumers think about poppers and juice boxes. The Lunchbox Range includes five different flavours, H2coco’s classic coconut water, Cocoespresso and H2melon Watermelon Water, as well as two delicious new flavours formulated for kids.


With 1 in 4 Australians actively trying to reduce their sugar intake, H2coco’s new range gives parents peace of mind, with all-natural fruit juice alternatives that are full of flavour and nutrients, less than half the sugar content of some of Australia’s leading juice brands, and packaged conveniently in 200ml multipacks.  


According to recent research, consumer interest in sugary sodas and fruit juices continues to fall, as beverages formulated with fewer ingredients and less sugar are beginning to saturate the market. H2coco Founder & CEO David Freeman worked alongside leading Australian retailer Woolworths, to formulate innovative, natural and reduced sugar beverages to breathe new life into the juice category.


Freeman says it was also the decline in interest in fruit juices and an influx of requests from savvy parents for healthier juice options that spurred him to develop the new range. “We wanted to create a range that would bring innovation to the beverage market and redefine the beverages available to consumers in the juice aisle,” he explains. “Formulating the lunchbox range keeps the health-conscious consumer in mind whilst producing the fun, nutritious flavours the H2coco brand is known for.”


Not one to back down from a challenge, Freeman and his team dedicated themselves to developing a range that would appeal to people of all ages, eventually settling on two new flavours to complete the range, created specifically with kids in mind. H2coco Troperiffic and Wildberry combine 100% pure natural coconut water with real fruit juices. Boasting a 4.5 star health rating, a rarity for the juice aisle, both flavours are free from added sugar, concentrates and preservatives, packaged in H2coco’s signature long-life tetra paks. Both flavours are perfect additions to any school or work lunchbox.


The Lunchbox Range retail units are 3x200ml multipacks, of which H2coco SKUs retail at $4.50 and H2melon $4.70. The launch will be supported by an integrated trade and retail marketing campaign, which includes nationwide print, radio, outdoor and digital marketing. The team will also be conducting extensive in-store sampling and consumer activations, specifically targeted at health-conscious families.
