Silent Salesmen Get a Voice

Announcement posted by Propertypulse 30 Jul 2002

Property signs known in the Real Estate Industry as silent salesman will soon be silent no longer. The Australian communications technology company Propertypulse, this week launched a service for Agents which will allow their signs to talk back to you. Well not talk exactly but send you an SMS text message.
It works this way. Each sign is given a unique short code and a special phone number. Interested buyers can use their mobile phones to SMS that code to that phone number and within seconds will receive back a reply text message with all the important details of that property. These details are then saved in their mobile phones.
Propertypulse Managing Director, Reg Lambert says that making Real Estate signs interactive by using SMS is a world first and allows the buyer to instantly access information such as price, size and other details 24 hrs a day. The service can also be used for rental, commercial and auction properties.
He said The Real Estate Agents love it to because the service automatically builds a secure database of the mobile phone numbers of interested buyers.
The Propertypulse service is offered to agents on a subscription basis and only requires the agent to have a computer with Internet access.
The first signs are due to go live in Sydney on the 1st August followed shortly after by other Australian Cities. Propertypulse is also receiving international interest in its new service with enquiries coming from the UK, South Africa and Asia.
A visit to www.propertypulse.com will give full details of how this new service works and allows for a live test.
