Sesión Tequila Green Room to pop-up at The Star Sydney

The Star Sydney is excited to announce the opening of the Sesión Tequila Green Room pop-up lounge bar this Friday, 29 September 2017. Sesión Tequila is brought to Sydney by Jennifer Hawkins and Jake Wall, and will inform a bespoke cocktail menu at the new pop-up, open every Friday to Sunday during spring and summer. Founded by the former Miss Universe and her husband, the award-winning Sesión tequila was born out of a passion for Mexico’s national spirit and a desire to bring a taste of their travels back to Australian shores. Located alongside Cherry Bar at The Star, the Sesión Tequila Green Room pop-up showcases the artisan spirit against a backdrop of vibrant live entertainment and sophistication.

Sesión co-founder Jennifer Hawkins said: "We are so pumped to collaborate with The Star to bring the Sesión Tequila Green Room to life!

A specially crafted cocktail menu will introduce discerning drinkers to a new way of enjoying the premium spirit produced from 100% blue agave from the fields of Jalisco, Mexico. 

A selection of custom-designed cocktails, all priced at $19, have been created by mixologist Geraint Coles and include:

• Mocha Negroni: Sesión mocha, session reposado, Campari and Antica Formula Vermouth 

• The refreshing Flora De Verano: Sesión blanco, Aperol, watermelon, rosewater, hibiscus and lime, alongside the signature tequila cocktail 

• A Margarita in three unique flavours: fresh lime and agave, rosemary & grapefruit and pineapple and mint. 

The Sesión Tequila Green Room pop-up is the ultimate destination to take in the Sydney skyline, offset by The Star’s impressive line-up of DJs and live music including the likes of The Collective Sound System and Espresso Martini Club. Styled by Coco Republic interior designer Georgina Holmes, the Green Room features timber and rattan accents, luxe marble and leather furnishings, and lush greenery, creating a relaxed vacation vibe. The design for the fresh and modern space was inspired by relaxing and stylish European rooftops that turn into members-only cocktail lounges by night.
