Knose Everyday Pet Care - a new way for pet owners to pay the vet.

Knose Everyday Pet Care, has launched a pet wellness platform for independent vets.  This game-changing platform provides the technology and administration necessary for vets to successfully operate wellness plans.  The plan bundles up all the services that a vet recommends for maintaining your pet’s health, and breaks them into affordable monthly payments. Owners know exactly what it is going to cost every month and keep up with their vets recommendations to maintain their pet’s health.


A survey found that 21% of dogs and 35% of cats hadn’t been taken to the vet in 2016 and only 53% dog owners and 47% cat owners reporting they had taken their pet for vaccinations.  Compliance with parasite protection is also low.  Not surprising given our lives are busier than ever and remembering what get for our pets each month or quarter often falls to the ‘later’ basket.  Nathan Harris, Chief Operating Officer and co-founder stated “a Pet Health Maintenance Plan makes it simple to follow your vet’s recommendations and will lead to healthier and happier pets.”


Knose combines technology, communications, banking, administration and product delivery leaving vets free to run their practice and look after their clients and their pets. Clients can sign up on their phone once their vet becomes “Knose active” and even get their necessary preventatives shipped to their door, in singles doses as they are due, so their pet never misses a treatment.


“Customers have changed” Harris continues, “they expect to be able to book and pay for things on their devices and access information when they need it. So much of life these days is managed on our phones,and people are comfortable with the subscription model, so it makes sense to offer it to vets”.


“We see a lot of innovation in the pet industry but it has been largely in the corporate and retail sector.  We want to be here for local vets & pet owners, to innovate for them and make sure the vet is front and centre of the pet’s health care again, as well as giving pet owners the ability to use vet’s services in an affordable and predictable way”.


Our Everyday Pet Care plans are fully customisable, both from an inclusions and pricing perspective. Harris concludes “It was really important to us that we build a platform that allowed vets to set their own protocols and pricing for exactly what their patients need but nothing their  clients don’t want. Australia is a big and varied place and we know one size definitely does not fit all”.  The high level of customisability supports vets independence and caters for the needs of pet owners across every location of Australia.
