RASHAYS First Choice For Celebrations

Announcement posted by PDPR Marketing and Creative 05 Oct 2017

A customer's perspective...

Family-owned restaurant chain Rashays was first started in 1998 when owners Rami and Shannon opened the very first restaurant in Liverpool - combining the value component of fast food with a fun, vibrant atmosphere and fresh quality meals.

Rashays bought the restaurant site at Liverpool – an icon in the region, with a view to building a welcoming neighbourhood eatery, a beacon to all locals as the first choice for a quick meal or celebrating with family and friends.

New Australian Maha Mahood’s story is one of these, weaving her local Liverpool Rashays into her new life in Australia and into her family’s celebrations.

“It’s a wonderful home for us here in Liverpool,” she says, almost in a whisper, as if confiding precious information. We’re very happy about where we are - we are surrounded by great friends now and of course special restaurants like Rashays who always welcome us when we visit. Australia offers up new opportunities for my family and Rashays sits as a symbol of respect for all cultures within the suburb”, said Maha.

“Our favourite meal when we dine at Rashays is the Chicken with mushroom sauce, it was the first meal that I had when I first dined at Rashays when we arrived in Liverpool and was what I chose to eat when we celebrated becoming proud Australian citizens”, Maha said.

The casual, sit-and-stay-awhile charm to Rashays draws locals and visitors to its doors and has led to 19 more restaurants and 5 food court locations to the group over 19 years.

“Success hasn’t always been easy,” says Owner Rami. “We have however stayed true to our brand which has helped us build the chain of casual dining restaurants. Reliability from us has brought loyalty from our wonderful customers.”

The popularity of their food and reliable flow of regular customers illustrates with clarity that Rami and Shannon have carved themselves a place in the community.

“I believe we did the right thing to start here,” Rami said and we are proud to play a small part in welcoming our newest Australians to our extended family.
