Aspect Furniture encourages workplaces to review office ergonomics as part of National Safe Work Month

During October, commercial furniture manufacturer Aspect Furniture is encouraging workplaces to review their office ergonomics in support of National Safe Work Month. National Safe Work Month is an initiative of Safe Work Australia and asks Australian businesses to commit to building safer, healthier workplaces.

Aspect Furniture’s National Marketing Manager, Grant Kennerley says: “Creating workplaces that foster employee health and safety is a key goal for Aspect, not only for our staff but the clients we supply — so we’re big supporters of National Safe Work Month.”

Safe Work Australia has identified that well-designed workplaces contribute to employee safety. This includes office ergonomics, which considers the impact of equipment design and use on employees. “Our team is passionate about innovative, ergonomic office solutions,” says Grant. “Good ergonomic design can support employee wellbeing while mitigating injuries, which is why we’re encouraging other businesses to review their ergonomics as part of National Safe Work Month.”

Aspect Furniture suggests looking at a three factors when reviewing workplace ergonomics:

1/ Assess whether staff have access to ergonomic equipment and know how to use it

2/ Look at what information or training you provide on healthy work habits.

3/ And lastly, identify opportunities to improve your office ergonomics and create an even safer workplace.

Aspect is continually striving to improve its ergonomic product design to support the health and safety of office workers. “While safe, ergonomic design is part of Aspect’s ongoing commitment to our customers, it’s good to be reminded about the importance of safety at work as part of National Safe Work Month,” states Grant.
