After exceptional growth and aggressive intentions to expand into new markets across Australia, ASI Solutions has unveiled the recruitment of industry veteran Karl Sice, as new head of acquisition and strategy.

Effective November 6, Sice will be joining the home grown solutions provider amid a record-breaking round of exceptional financials, showing a 12.95 percent growth from its $63.3 Million revenue mark in 2016 to $71.5 Million in 2017. Figures which were boosted by a wave of large contractual wins, alongside a more focused approach to hardware and software deployment as reported by ARN.

Sice, looks to join the Sydney-based business with a direct focus on new business, vertical and technology integration, with the vision to build out long-term strategic plans for ASI’s continued impactful growth.

“ASI has experienced strong growth and we see Karl as a great addition to the already rich culture of the organisation,” ASI Solutions managing director Nathan Lowe told ARN.

“He will assist us to continue that trend with his leadership experience in business development, partnerships and alliances.”

This move comes just four weeks after the industry veteran vacated his role as the head of Winc Technology Solutions across Australia and New Zealand, vacating his positions after almost six years at the senior level.

Since joining in May 2012, Sice’s incredible work ethic and direction returned the Winc business to growth on both sides of the Tasman, building and maintaining successful alliances with key vendors such as Microsoft, DellEMC, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Lenovo among others. Vendors that are on top of the industry and perfectly coincide with ASI’s relationships and customer goals, putting Sice in a perfect position.

“The company has some aggressive growth targets which we feel Karl will definitely assist in driving towards achieving those numbers.”

“With Karl also recently being appointed in the ARN Hall of Fame, this is something that I believe not only the channel industry recognises but customers also respect.” Nathan Lowe told ARN.

Sice has been exceptional to the growth of Wince and during his tenure, Sice spearheaded a local team which was awarded Lenovo Business Partner of the Year back-to-back during the 2015 and 2016 period. Not only that, Winc operated as one of HP’s top three Platinum level partners across A/NZ, Platinum DellEMC partner and was selected as Microsoft Surface, Office 365 and Azure Solutions Partner in 2016, before taking on the CSP status in 2017.

An influential and key part of Sice’s work involved creating industry-leading research and thought leadership events, with the aim of driving brand equity and development opportunity growth through partnerships with the CRO Institute, CPA Australia, AIM and NSW Business Chamber.

Sice’s approach was recognised during the ARN ICT Industry Awards 2016 where Staples Technology Solutions (Now known as Winc) won ‘Best Partner Performance Initiative of the Year’ for Sice’s focused thought leadership campaign approach around customer experience at the CXO level which resulted in 70 new executive level customers scaling rapidly.

When asked about his new alliance with ASI Solutions Sice had this so say; “My inspirations in the role include helping to create a winning environment, great engagement and culture for the team, ASI’s customers and partners. I want to build a highly successful new business unit and couple that with effective strategy leadership.”

He added, “I also want to align and lead the partners, alliances and stakeholders towards even greater success and for ASI as a trusted partners, while helping build programs which disrupt productively and transform customers towards greater digital success.”

In addition, Sice has heled management roles at American Express and Dell, working in markets spanning both sides of the Tasman, the U.S and across Asia Pacific, including Japan. With ASI’s vision for the future, this seems like a perfect alignment of goals and vision for the company’s future.
