With the introduction of the NDIS, Ipswich families are now able to enjoy choices and control, they simply didn’t have before. STAR Care Queensland is a unique community organisation, supporting people with disabilities and their families to make the most of their choices.

STAR is a leading community organisation operating in Brisbane since 1996. Joining hands with CODI, an iconic Ipswich Community organisation, STAR is at the forefront of ensuring the delivery of quality Disability Support services, in Ipswich and surrounding suburbs.

Underpinning STAR is a belief that inclusive communities thrive; community volunteers dedicate their time and skills to benefit the community. More than 150 volunteers assist STAR in providing quality and affordable Disability Services, to ensure all residents of the community enjoy an independent lifestyle.

“The community is at the absolute heart of everything we do. Our NDIS and disability support services aim to empower community members of all abilities to achieve their life goals", said Patsy Wilshire, STAR General Manager.

Together, STAR and CODI have delivered more than 1.5 million services to support community members live independently and support them in fulfilling their goals, passions and interests.

As an approved Disability Services Provider under NDIS, STAR is offering a range of services including, Assist-Travel/Transport; Exercise, Physical and Personal Training; Household Tasks; and Innovative Community participation.

“We are excited to service the Ipswich community, drawing strength from CODI’s experience of more than 35 years. Whatever your age or ability, if you need care, on a temporary or ongoing basis, we are here to assist you,” said STAR Care Services Manager, Melissa Bannerman.

STAR is inviting NDIS eligible residents of Ipswich for a free, one-on-one consultation. “The NDIS is such a positive policy initiative for people and their families, and we look forward to supporting Ipswich families in receiving the best support they need.”
