KIDDI-OKE, FOR KIDS WHO SING Final set to showcase local talent on Saturday

Announcement posted by Thurnham Teece 29 Nov 2017

Kiddi-Oke was launched at Oasis Shopping Village Palmerston last year and this Saturday marks the final in the 2017 competition. The first two heats uncovered some terrific budding talent and now 10 young contestants are vying for top place this Saturday in the final at Oasis Shopping Village.

Kiddi-Oke is an exciting karaoke style competition for kids between 5 and 16 years, designed to build confidence and self-esteem in children, bring out their creative flair and give them the opportunity to perform in front of an audience in a safe happy fun environment. It’s also great entertainment for local shoppers at the Centre especially leading into the festive season.
This community event is an initiative of Oasis Shopping Village, who provide the infrastructure, prizes and certificates for each child. Commenting on the Kiddi-Oke 2017 competition, Helen Wilson, Centre Manager, commented.

“The last two Saturday heats have been a wonderful experience for the children and shoppers alike. The centre has been filled with fun and excitement and we know there will be 10 very excited kids and their families “singing off” on Saturday. We wish all of them good luck and hope they have fun!”
