Startcon 2017 Starts Tomorrow; Teksmobile Australia Participates

Announcement posted by Teknowledge software 30 Nov 2017

The 8th edition of Startcon - the top startup and growth conference in Australia - will start from tomorrow, December 1. Teksmobile Australia, led by CEO Hussain Fakhruddin, will participate as an exhibitor.

The biggest startup and growth conference in Australia is back, and this time it’s larger than ever. The two-day Startcon 2017 event is set to kickstart from the 1st of December, at the world-class Royal Randwick Racecourse in Sydney. Like last year, Teksmobile Australia will once again take part as an exhibitor at the event.

A quick glance at the numbers offers an idea about the sheer enormity of Startcon 2017. This will be the 8th edition of the event, and according to reasonable estimates, well over 3500 business visitors - from all over the world - will be in attendance. The total number of exhibitors will be in excess of 150, while more than 500 startup companies are expected to take part. Nearly 20% of the total visitors in Startcon 2017 will hail from other countries.

The CEO of Teksmobile Australia, Hussain Fakhruddin, has fond memories of the Startcon event from last year. A well-traveled man himself and a mobile app entrepreneur of considerable global repute, he feels that Startcon is easily among the most ‘valuable’ and well-organized business events in the world. His company gained tremendous networking leverage by taking part in last year’s edition, and Hussain is confident about Startcon 2017 providing a richer, more fruitful experience. The Teksmobile team will be present at Booth C34 at the venue.

A big factor behind the sustained popularity of the Startcon event (before the 2017 edition, it had been sold out seven years in a row) is the sheer variety of activities packed within the itinerary. Right from highly informative international keynote sessions - helmed by more than 60 high-profile speakers, tech workshops and hackathons, to startup alleys, pitch competitions and masterclasses...there will be a lineup of exciting events at this year’s Startcon conference. The launch party of Startcon 2017 takes place today at The Sheaf. The after-party, following the two-day main event, will take place at the Arthouse Hotel on December 2.

Apart from the top-notch networking opportunities, Hussain is also looking forward to interacting with well-known innovation leaders from all over, at the event. There are ample opportunities to learn about new things at Startcon, he feels - things that offer important, actionable insights that can be implemented later on, for diverse business objectives. The prospect of meeting new entrepreneurs and startup-owners is exciting as well - and the Teks CEO is also eager about attending the Corporate Innovation Forum.

Like every year, company founders and entrepreneurs will form the biggest cross-section of attendees at Startcon 2017. Representatives from small and medium-enterprise businesses (SMEs) will also be present in large numbers, as will professional business and marketing executives, corporate investors, developers, designers, and media personnel. Tech students will take part in the event as well. The theme for Startcon 2017 is ‘technology is eating itself’.

The second edition of the annual Australasian Startup Awards (presented by MYOB and UTS) will also take place during the startup event. There will be a separate ‘AI Stage’ - for bringing the impact of artificial intelligence on different industries into focus. Hussain also mentioned the ‘FinTech Stage’ as a highlight of the event - with leading investors, finance experts and tech leaders from Australia set to provide practical knowledge and fintech ideas to all attendees. The event will be all about helping entrepreneurs devise the optimal growth path - stronger, quicker and overall better - for their startups.

Startcon has always been a great platform for participating companies to gain more exposure and traction for their brands, and this year is not going to be an exception. Hussain correctly pointed out that that the event throws up great opportunities to generate new and fruitful sales leads, apart from expanding business networks. It has been correctly billed as a ‘must-attend’ event for entrepreneurs, marketers, investors and growth hackers from all over - and it all starts from tomorrow, Dec.1.
