Moonee Valley City Council Selects Promapp to Support Process Improvement

Announcement posted by Promapp 06 Dec 2017

Melbourne, 6 December 2017 – Moonee Valley City Council in Victoria has commenced deployment of cloud-based process management software from Promapp to to serve as a central resource for overall business process mapping and improvement.

Promapp will help the council’s IT help desk department to support the organisation’s 1,100 staff by providing consistent processes for their everyday process requirements.

As Robert Raiskums, CIO at City of Moonee Valley Council, explains, “The council has recently undergone a restructure with a corresponding change in roles and responsibilities.  We identified an opportunity for a solution such as Promapp to provide support to our 26 people in the IT department which would enable them to work on higher value projects by providing standard processes and forms, based on roles and responsibilities to support basic everyday IT user requirements.”

Deploying Promapp’s business process mapping and improvement modules will enable the IT department to provide forms support in areas such as risk, health and safety, and human resources, and integrate with the organisation’s ERP and SharePoint deployments.

Replacing Visio and Word, Promapp will enable the organisation to map, review and improve processes on an ongoing basis, providing a faster, smarter way to deliver a range of appropriate and well-planned services.

“Promapp is an enterprise application so everyone can automatically see when a process has been updated. This is critical when you have council staff, such as our parks, depot and animal management teams, who may be working in remote locations. I’ve procured and implemented Promapp before at a previous council and have seen how effective it is.  We like Promapp’s simplicity and its ease of use which will ensure that processes can be mapped and easily updated enabling the IT department to deliver high quality services,” says Raiskums.

Moonee Valley City Council will also have access to Promapp’s Local Government Shared Process Library which will allow the organisation to share its knowledge and experience with other councils.  At the same time, it will also gain comprehensive insights into how other councils around Australia operate and manage their own processes, performance and customer service.
Moonee Valley City Council covers 43 square kilometres and is located between four and 13 kilometeres north-west of Melbourne’s central business district.  It has a population of 120,000.
