Teksmobile Signs Off 2017 With A Series Of New Apps

Announcement posted by Teknowledge software 06 Dec 2017

The app portfolio of Teksmobile recently crossed the 1200 mark. The company has worked on several interesting app projects in 2017 - and the CEO talks about them here.

The year is drawing to a close, and it has been a good one for Teksmobile - a leading app development company. By the end of the third quarter, the portfolio of the company crossed the 1200 mark - and the number is set to swell further over the next few months.

While the project numbers are impressive, it’s the sheer variety of apps Team Teks has worked on that warrants a special mention. In an exclusive interview, Teksmobile CEO Hussain Fakhruddin mentioned that his company has launched apps of different types in 2017 Q3 and Q4. Over the years, the company has regularly come up with exciting, innovative applications - and 2017 has reinforced the position of Teks as a worldwide driver of mobile software in particular, and technology in general.

Elaborating more on the new additions to the Teks portfolio, Mr. Fakhruddin highlighted his team’s work on FishFlicks - the free app for streaming fishing and outdoor shows (available as a part of official fishflicks.tv membership). There has also been an interesting automotive solutions app called Fixr - which enables users to find and compare expert local car service professionals. While FishFlicks already has a huge captive audience by virtue of being the top-ranked fishing and outdoor shows channel in Australia, Fixr too - believes Mr. Fakhruddin - has the potential to register steady downloads.

There has been something on the medical front too from Teksmobile, in the second half of 2017. The developers have worked on a web application called Medicradar - which is focused on helping patients in the UK connect with the best professional medics for treatments. According to a well-placed source from inside the company, mobile versions of the app - for iOS and Android - are also on the pipeline. Trotjot - a travel journal app that helps people create travel memories, and Repeatmobile - a customized enterprise learning app - were also released in the latter half of the year. The initial reviews of each of these applications have been uniformly favourable.

Teksmobile has a strong track-record of making successful kids’ apps - with apps like Story Time For Kids and My First Words. In 2017, the company continued to build on this, by creating and launching Soccerman (in collaboration with the Timpano brothers, Matt and Jacob) - a fun-filled, engaging mobile learning game for children. In a recent media meet, the in-house developers explained how Soccerman doubles up as a cool digital storytelling app as well. The app has 4 free games, with more stuff available through in-app purchase.

During the interview, Mr. Fakhruddin pointed out that Soccerman was not the only kids app the team has worked on during this year. A full-fledged learning app for junior school children (KG to Grade IV) is being made - with 150+ educational games, both singleplayer and multiplayer. The seasoned CEO plans to make this app available on both the mobile and the web platforms - and a team of expert game developers have been assigned on the project. Teksmobile is eyeing an early-2018 release for the school app.

Also on the verge of completion is the NOLBI (no language barrier instrument) project. At the start of the year, Mr. Fakhruddin had identified this one as one of the biggest challenges of 2017 - and before the year ids out, his team has already successfully conquered it. The mobile app version of the translation software is in the final stages of testing - while the SIP trunk-powered voice telephony terminal will also be created soon. With minimal lags and near-real-time cross-language communication, NOLBI is going to be a one-of-its-kind digital tool upon launch.

2017 also saw Teksmobile take rapid strides with its Eventify app-building platform. Launched in 2017 Q1, Eventify has already been used for creating the official mobile applications of prestigious business and tech events, like the Nordic APIs Platform Summit 2017, Nordic Smart Cities 2017, and Startcon 2017. Mr. Fakhruddin is confident about Eventify partnering with many more high-profile biz events and organizers in the next year.

The total app-count in the Teks portfolio went beyond 1200 in September this year, and the company CEO took this opportunity to acknowledge the sheer hard work, dedication and expertise of his team. A good measure of the commitment of the Teks team can be gauged from the success of the Startcon 2017 app, he said. The app broke into the top-100 list in the Australian App Store within hours of being launched - and less than 24 hours later, it was in the top-25 list. Professional success and applauds are something Teksmobile has become accustomed to, and this app was the latest #win for the company.

Teksmobile started the year with offices in 5 cities (Pune, Kolkata, Sala, Sydney and Houston). By Q3, that number had swelled to 7 - thanks to the start of two new offices, in Seoul and Busan. The new Teksmobile Korea chapter will be managed by COO Eric Jinsu Kang. apart from bringing greater exposure to the Teks brand and bringing in more business - the new offices will also open up opportunities for developers to go over there for work. Two senior developers from the India office are already working from the Seoul office.

While expressing satisfaction at the quality and range of work done this year, Mr. Fakhruddin and his team already have their eyes on 2018. The company is committed to take on more challenging projects and emerge as the face of innovative digital transformations. In-house research on LoRa technology is in full flow, and the company has plans to create powerful IoT applications within the next couple of quarters. 2017 has been good, but the focus of Team Teks is making 2018 ‘better’.
