blOOturtle Publishing announces new eco-friendly kids book

Sydney 12 January 2018 — The team at eco-friendly book company, blOOturtle Publishing, is excited to release their second book Ballerina Monkey by Nicole Madigan with its lively storyline and a message beyond. 

Her first book Darcy and the Dinosaurs a wonderfully fun story with stunning illustrations. The same creators deliver again with Ballerina Monkey not only a colorful jungle story, but one which encourages all kids (and adults) to find the courage to stand up for their dreams.

The book is an “honourable tale of belief, dignity and determination that reminds us all of the value of being true to ourselves,” says Romy Sharp in her book review on justkidslit.com. 

Inspired by life when Nicole’s older son had been going through an “unboyish” time at the age of 4, Ballerina Monkey was written after she observing the difficulties her son was facing in front of other children and the environment. Nicole’s intention was to help him, and to tell him that he is okay just the way he is. 

“Even as adults, being true to oneself in the face of outside pressures can be immensely challenging. As a child, the opinions of others carry so much weight, and being able to shoulder that weight takes courage,“ reflects Nicole. 

But the book also teaches that sometimes you need even more than just desire to pursue your ideas. Developing your skills can be often discouraging and only resilience and determination can help you progress.
