Fintech startup clover.com.au is pleased to announce that it will be moving to the financial technology hub at YBF Ventures (formerly known as York Butter Factory).
The Victorian Government partnered with YBF to ensure Melbourne’s growing fintech sector reaches its full potential. Clover.com.au will be moving into the YBF Fintech Hub located in the CBD at 520 Bourke Street in March 2018.
“Victoria’s new fintech hubs will help our rising startup star grow and create new jobs in this fast-growing sector,” says Minister for Innovation and Digital Economy, Philip Dalidakis.
Co-Founder and Co-CEO Sahil Kaura sees the move as an important next step to clover.com.au’s presence and growth in the Melbourne market and beyond.
“Fintech is as much about the ecosystem as it is about the individual startups,” says Kaura. “It is fintech spaces like YBF Ventures, which enable and support this ecosystem.”
Existence of such fintech incubators makes financials services more efficient
and accessible for everyone says Kaura.
“Clover is helping Australians save and invest for their future and to do so,
we rely on a maze of financial services infrastructure. There are other
fintechs who are working on making many parts of this maze more efficient and
accessible.”
The new fintech hubs are a response to the growing fintech sector that
will not only provide startups with more physical space but also opportunities
and reach to collaborators, mentors, investors and customers.
“There are many common challenges we all face such as legacy
infrastructure, regulatory issues, etc.,” says Kaura. “Being in an environment
where we can exchange ideas and work collectively towards solving many of these
shared challenges benefits Clover, its customers and financial services as a
whole.”
The YBF fintech hub will provide startups with a range of advisory services to drive innovation and growth.
“Driving the fintech ecosystem in Victoria perfectly aligns with YBF’s mission to remain the country’s number one innovation hub for tech,” says Farley Blackman, YBF Venture’s CEO. “We are pleased to welcome Clover.com.au to our newly-established and Melbourne’s premiere fintech hub. Having Clover share our space will be a win for them and for the broader YBF community.”
