AVID ST. GEORGE FAN TAKING RUGBY LEAGUE TEST TO QATAR!

Sydney businessman, international building expert, food exporter and philanthropist Michael Ibrahim bleeds red and white. He is now using his passion for Rugby League to organise an International Rugby League 9’s contest as well as an International Rugby league Test between Australia and Tonga in Qatar in October 2018.

“Mal Meninga met with me last week and he is keen to see Australia take on Tonga in an IRLF officially sanctioned Rugby League Test double header along with Fiji v Samoa at the same time as Qatar hosts the Aqeeq Holdings International Rugby League 9’s event”says Ibrahim.

“The 9’s contest will hopefully feature teams from Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Nuie, the Philippines, Iran, Hong Kong, Oman and Qatar. It’s early days but we have started the planning and it’s going to be an exciting opportunity to spread the word about Rugby League internationally. It’ll also be a great chance for rugby league fans to visit Qatar in the lead up to the FIFA World Cup which is there in 2022.”concludes Michael Ibrahim, Aqeeq Holdings CEO.

ABOUT MICHAEL IBRAHIM Michael has been in the building and construction industry in the Middel East for the last 20 years. He is now taking on the might of Saudi Arabia and the Middle Eastern Arab GCC countries to break their controversial blockade of 2022 Soccer World Cup hosts Qatar. Simultaneously he is opening up an incredible export opportunity for Australian business. Since June 5 2017 Michael Ibrahim has been sending food to the small peninsula country of Qatar..... not just food parcels, but containers. We exported one container of meat in July last year and with the help of my wife we are now shipping 30 containers a month … and climbing!

Michael also started a #wesupportQatar campaign! “ I’d never done anything like this in my life before “ says Michael “ I had the idea for #wesupportQatar when I was working in the Middle East on June 5th last year and the trade blockade was announced. Everyone was in shock. It’s a country of 3.5 million people including tens of thousands of US troops, and all of a sudden their food supply was stopped.Australian beef is really sought after in Qatar so that was the first phone call.  Now it’s everything. Food, vitamins, building materials ...  it’s a whole country !  This is an amazing export opportunity for Australian business to open up a brand new territory and I’m keen to purchase container loads of product from manufacturers, farmers, growers and industry as a whole. In less than six months this business has grown exponentially and with three and a half million mouths to feed every day, 5 football stadiums to build for the FIFA World Cup and a whole country to service it’s a real challenge and export opportunity for Australia!” says Michael.

Michael Ibrahim has been labelled one of the most connected and influential men in business , politics and sports world wide by many media outlets and high powerful  dignitaries.
