Eclipse Torquay Starts Music and Spanish Language Classes

Announcement posted by Eclipse Early Education 13 Mar 2018

Eclipse Early Childhood’s centre at Torquay has announced weekly Spanish lessons by Fun Languages Australia. Fun Languages will provide an engaging program that builds children’s self-confidence and advance their language learning through play-based and foreign language immersion learning.

The program hopes to give children the self-confidence to communicate quickly and naturally in a foreign language. It introduces a new language in a fun way to raise awareness of a foreign culture and provide children the cognitive benefits of learning another language early in their life.

Eclipse Torquay has state of the art purpose-built facilities that provide a range of programs to Infant care for 0 - 2 year olds, Toddler Care for 2 – 3 year olds, Kinder Care for 3 year olds and a fully funded Kindergarten program for 4 year olds. They have also started weekly music lessons by Hey Dee Ho. Set in conjunction with the Australian Institute of Music and Childhood Development, all hey dee ho programs are aligned with the National Quality Standards and support the Early Years Learning Framework.  Hey dee ho currently run music, fitness, yoga and drama classes in over 300 early learning centers across Australia.

Eclipse Torquay uses all opportunities available to provide learning through play and interaction. Their exclusive dining area allows children community-based meal times. Eating in the dining room provides great opportunities for children to practice social, language and self-help skills, as they mingle with peers of all ages. During these meal times the older children sit and eat with the toddlers to act as role models for healthy eating habits. They are then guided in cleaning their own plates and utensils. Eclipse Torquay gives children nutritious meals prepared on site daily. Their cooks are experts in catering and are capable to deal with food allergies and special dietary requirements for children. Parents can indicate the special needs of the child and discuss the available alternatives during enrolment.

The centre makes use of outdoor play to enjoy the natural environment and learn to seek out exercise, fresh air, and activity. They are passionate about providing an indoor/outdoor program that allows children to explore and learn in both environments.

Eclipse Centres use the KindyNow App and the Storypark App. The KindyNow App enables parents to book extra casual days or inform the centre that their child will be absent with the touch of a button. The Storypark App allows educators to share parts of the children’s day with parents and the parents can then share images, video, audio and PDFs privately within their family.
