Beauty Expo Melbourne set to inspire and motivate the Victorian beauty industry

Announcement posted by Beauty Expo Australia 19 Mar 2018

Media release: Monday 19 March 2018, Melbourne: Beauty professionals will come together at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) for Beauty Expo Melbourne this weekend, with plenty for the industry to see, sample and shop across professional skincare, makeup, grooming and nails.

“I can’t wait to see Beauty Expo Melbourne take shape this weekend,” said Cory Watson, Beauty Expo Melbourne’s newly-appointed Event Director. “The team has been working hard to ensure a valuable and enriching experience for our visitors and we have some wonderful brands exhibiting with us in 2018. It’s going to be a fabulous weekend of everything beauty!”

Victoria’s boutique event for the beauty industry has a jam-packed agenda for visitors, with a curated education program featuring leading experts in the field who will share insights into the latest techniques and trends; from microblading to innovative skincare ingredients, to the latest makeup looks direct from the runways.

New for 2018, the event’s Education Passes devoted to Dermal/Anti-Ageing, Professional Skills and Business education will mean that visitors can attend more of Beauty Expo Melbourne’s premium education for less. Pass holders can access all eligible educational sessions within their stream (between six and eight sessions) throughout the weekend for just $219 – less than the cost of purchasing two individual sessions.*

Free demonstrations will also take place throughout the weekend on two HUB Stages, devoted to topics in Anti-Ageing and Makeup & Grooming.

Visitors will be able to see a diverse range of professional brands at the show, with many launching new products and technologies. France Medical will have its French Infratherapy technology on display, a coveted addition to spa treatment menus due to its wellness enhancing benefits. At the event’s Skincare Sanctuary, leading professional skincare brands like Dermalogica, PAYOT Paris, Dermaviduals, Murad and Pevonia will be presenting their newest professional treatments and products. MAC Cosmetics will exhibit for the first time in Melbourne, bringing its renowned hero products and world-class makeup educators to Victorian professionals.

The event’s new Proudly Natural and Proudly Australian feature will distinguish brands on the Expo floor that have products containing natural ingredients, as well as those that are Australian-made and owned. The initiative is aimed at addressing a growing consumer demand for products that meet these criteria and is being implemented in Melbourne following a successful pilot at Beauty Expo Australia 2017 in Sydney.

Visitors wanting to let down their hair and network with fellow professionals can attend the Beauty Expo Melbourne Welcome Party on Saturday night, which takes place at Crown’s 28 Skybar Lounge, offering up views of the Melbourne skyline.

Beauty Expo Melbourne runs from Saturday 24 March to Sunday 25 March at the MCEC. Tickets are available at www.beautyexpomelbourne.com.au
