Moving forward with your head in the Cloud

Experts from across the country will be heading to Brisbane for an exclusive Local Government Cloud Event on 30 April. The event, hosted by Terry Group Consulting (TGC), will look at leveraging the full possibilities of emerging technologies.

Oracle Global Vice President Mr Joel Cherkis in charge of —Infrastructure, Government, Education & Health—Industry Solutions Group, will be one of the guest keynote speakers. Mr Cherkis is also part of the Oracle CloudWorld2018 conference being held in major cities around the world.

Mr Cherkis said, “We are looking to create an engaging conversation around Smart Cities, IoT and Analytics. The message will be around having a modern back office to facilitate that.”

Mr Cherkis will be discussing digital transformation for Councils and will share some examples of what other international Local Government organisations have achieved. Other esteemed keynote speakers Lani Refiti and Neil Glentworth will further discuss how IoT is being used around the world to create Smart Cities.

Mr Cherkis is focused on driving industry strategy, applications, cloud and IoT solutions that deliver growth across Oracle’s customer and partner base. He has spent the past 25 years helping customers and partners better utilize collaborative solutions and the processes of infrastructure consolidation, while staying focused on understanding how and when technology should be used to solve organisational problems.
