INCONSULT UNVEILS NEW CYBER RISK MANAGEMENT SERVICE OFFERING

Announcement posted by InConsult 10 Apr 2018

InConsult responds to the growing needs of organisations for a more comprehensive, proactive and affordable cyber risk management service
Sydney, Australia – April 10, 2018 – InConsult, an advisory firm specialising in end-to-end risk management, governance, audit and business continuity services have announced a new suite of cyber risk management services.

Cyber risks are a real threat to business.  According to Tony Harb, InConsult's Director "Cyber risk continues to feature in the top three risk concerns of most organisations, new cyber risk laws and regulations such as the Notifiable Data Breaches Scheme and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) are being introduced and more cyber risk regulations are in development for APRA regulated entities through Prudential Standard CPS 234 Information Security".

Harb added, "Depending on whose statistics you read and how you define a cyber incident, there are hundreds, if not thousands of cyber security incidents and breaches reported daily, days of lost productivity and often tens of thousands of disgruntled customers who are directly impacted.  This explains why less than a third of organisations are satisfied with their ability to manage cyber risks”.

"The new services are in response to several client requests and growing demand for a more comprehensive, proactive and affordable range of cyber risk services to help them combat the escalating threat from cyber risks", Harb said.

InConsult's cyber risk management services include:

CYBER SECURITY GAP ANALYSIS: A comprehensive security analysis using ground-breaking technology to examine internal and/or external facing platform-agnostic risk factors, policy compliance statistics, and other leading risk indicators to provide clients with a quantifiable security risk score.

CYBER RISK GOVERNANCE FRAMEWORK REVIEW:  An independent and holistic review of an organisations cyber risk management framework and insurance arrangements against best practice standards, applicable regulations and maturity models to provide stakeholders such as regulators and the Board with peace of mind.

CYBER RISK GOVERNANCE FRAMEWORK DEVELOPMENT:  For organisations who are not well prepared, help in designing an appropriate cyber risk management framework to strengthen governance, culture, cyber security control environment and staff awareness to gain greater maturity.

CYBER RISK AWARENESS TRAINING AND INTERNAL CAMPAIGNS: Training services to help promote and reinforce the organisation’s key cyber risk controls to reduce the likelihood of a cyber risk incident.

CRISIS TEAM FAMILIARISATION TRAINING: Helps ensure the crisis management team required to oversee the implementation of the cyber incident response plan are familiar and confident with planned response procedures.

CYBER INCIDENT RESPONSE EXERCISE: Having a plan is great, but will it work? A range of cyber attack simulations that vary in degree of difficulty to exercise an organisations cyber incident response plan, find the gaps and better prepare to respond to an incident.

POST-CYBER INCIDENT REVIEW: A forensic post incident review of a cyber incident to answer the following questions - How did this occur? What went wrong? What can we learn? How do we ensure it doesn’t happen again?

"We have carefully designed our new range of cyber risk management services with our clients in mind.  Our services help enhance the cyber security systems and controls, cyber risk governance processes, build staff awareness and improve stakeholder confidence. Our aim is to help our clients understand their cyber risk posture and provide them with assurance...no matter the size and complexity of the organisation", Harb said.

The new service delivery team will be headed by Tulin Sevgin. "Tulin is very 'tech savvy' and a highly capable consultant who has led the design and development of the new cyber risk services. Tulin brings 'Big 4' accounting firm experience and cyber risk management proficiency gained working in Australia's largest financial institutions".

“We have laid a solid foundation to deliver a value adding cyber risk management services to our existing and future clients.  In the coming months, we will be expanding our team of cyber risk professionals and collaborating with specialist organisations to help our clients better understand and manage their cyber risks”, Harb concluded.
