Former UTS MBT student, Richard White, is to speak on campus, alongside two Industry-based Lecturers

Richard White, the founder of the multi-billion dollar company WiseTech Global, joins lecturers Tudor Maxwell and Harry Wendt, at UTS MBT speaking event

The University of Technology Sydney, Master of Business and Technology board will welcome MBT alumnus Richard White back to the UTS campus on May 10, 2018, to speak with fellow alumni, current students and potential students with a wealth of experience in the industry, who are looking to expand their skills.

Richard finished his Master of Business and Technology at UTS in mid-2002 and is also the founder and CEO of WiseTech Global. He has been part of the MBT Alumni group for many years, and the MBT board is honoured to have him come back and speak about his experience as a student in the UTS MBT program.

Since completing his MBT at UTS, Richard has had astounding success. He founded his company, WiseTech Global 24 years ago, and over the last 2 decades, it has grown into a multi-billion dollar company. Last year he was also named the Australian Financial Review Business Person of the Year.

Richard will be joined at the event by renowned MBT lecturers, Tudor Maxwell and Harry Wendt. Both Tudor and Harry have had long careers in senior executive roles. Tudor is currently the Executive Director at Tacent, and has previously worked in Senior Roles at Suncorp Group and Westpac, while Harry is a former Senior Executive at Westpac.

At the event, both Tudor and Harry will be giving a short lecture to give potential students a chance to experience what it would be like to be a part of the UTS MBT program. Future students will be taken on a journey through what they can expect in the UTS MBT program, including what it is like to attend an MBT lecture.   

This event is an excellent opportunity for past and present students to show future students the benefits and perks of joining the MBT program. Following the speeches, there will be a chance for attendees to network with our valued members of the MBT community.

This one night only event will be held at the UTS Aerial Function Centre, UTS Building 10 on Level 7, 235 Jones Street, Ultimo. Registration is free and all experienced professionals and business managers in Sydney are invited to come along. It will be a great opportunity for people considering studying the UTS MBT program to come and get acquainted with past and present students.
