Australian makeup team announced as Amber Lounge ‘s Official Makeup Team

Behind the scenes of the 2018 Monaco Grand Prix, celebrity hair and makeup artist Liz Bomben and her team will be transforming Formula 1 drivers into catwalk models.

As the founder of Australian based Global Hair & Makeup, Liz has recently partner with the Amber Lounge as the official backstage makeup team for the prestigious Monaco based event for the third year in a row.

Liz said her dream of being a makeup artist was born as a young girl working in TV. “I have always loved makeup but worked behind the camera. You’d find me hanging around the makeup rooms, picking up tips and dreaming of becoming a make-up artist,” she said.

After moving into corporate, Liz decided at 50 to follow her dream. She started Global Hair & Makeup to provide talented, ‘unknown’ hair and makeup artists from around the world with opportunities to participate backstage at high profile, international fashion events.

“I want to give other hair and makeup artists a platform to shine and showcase their talent and ability on the world beauty stage,” she said “Talent is talent regardless of where you live, what age you are or who you know, so it’s all about rewarding talent and I am so grateful to our partners like Amber Longue who embrace this philosophy.

The iconic Amber Lounge Fashion Show is the only event in the world to feature Formula 1 drivers on the catwalk. Past Amber Lounge F1 Models include the likes of Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, Daniel Ricciardo, Max Verstappen and Valtteri Bottas.  The fashion show which will take place in May 2018 pushing the limits of high fashion by combining couture, motorsport, and thrilling live entertainment.

Past collections to feature on the Amber Lounge runway include Ted Baker, Melissa Odabash, Julien Macdonald, Philipp Plein, Hervé Léger, Missoni, La Perla, Chopard, Osman, Sean & Sheila and Jimmy Choo and past performers to have opened the legendary show include John Newman, Estelle, Taio Cruz, Kellis and Labrinth. Formula 1 drivers, models, ladies of F1, entertainers and celebrities all come together to walk the runway in aid of charity and Global Hair & will be there to ensure everyone looks their best.
