G MEDICAL ISSUED FURTHER EUROPEAN ‘CE’ CERTIFICATIONS

Mobile and e-Health company G Medical Innovations Holdings Ltd (ASX: GMV) is pleased to announce it has been issued with further European ‘CE‘ certification for its ‘Prizma’ Medical Smartphone Case.
Further to G Medical’s Prizma Medical device’s CE certification announced on 18 September 2017 as a Class II medical device; the Company has now received additional ‘CE’ certification for its proprietary algorithms. This additional certification is an acknowledgement and endorsement of the diagnostic capabilities of the Prizma platform.
The additional ‘CE’ certification granted now applies for monitoring the following physiological parameters:
The additional ‘CE’ approval is a significant achievement for the Company, highlighting not only the medical effectiveness of its hardware, but now also the potency of its proprietary algorithms, software and diagnostic intelligence. Such intelligence can provide further support and confidence to patients, practitioners and consumers alike, utilising the Prizma’s complete functionality.
The Company has already submitted for similar regulatory recognition of the Prizma’s diagnostic capabilities in other worldwide territories.
The ‘Prizma’ Medical Smartphone Case is one of two key products developed by G Medical and is aimed at everyday consumers focused on their medical health and wellbeing. The ‘Prizma’ allows consumers to turn their smartphone into a mobile medical monitor to measure a wide range of vital signs, with the added advantage that users are able to store their medical data in the cloud and share it with third parties such as healthcare professionals and family members.
This further certification does not impact on current product manufacturing or rollout of the Prizma Medical Smartphone Case, with details to be announced shortly about consumer availability.
Commenting on the revised ’CE‘ certification, G Medical CEO Dr. Yacov Geva, said: “Being granted ‘CE’ certification for the additional parameters strengthens our position and places G Medical in a great position to take full advantage when we are ready for full scale production.”
