Australian Institute of Management launches updated MBA to fast track great leaders

Announcement posted by AIM 01 May 2018

The Australian Institute of Management (AIM) is launching a game changing, updated MBA program to give leaders and executives access to skills growth, flexible learning at a significantly reduced price.

Building on the MBA that AIM has delivered for over a decade, this new offering, MBA+ will equip enrolled students with the skills to succeed in a rapidly changing business environment.

Group CEO, Ben Foote, said the new MBA+ includes some big changes and will have a significant impact on the future leaders of Australia and adds value like no other MBA program.

“What we’re seeing now is an increased interest in MBAs, but little has changed to accommodate the significant changes faced by leaders and executives. It’s essential that we provide opportunities and teach leaders the skills they will need to navigate the constantly changing business world.”

AIM’s MBA price has decreased to $32,400 from $42,600 to ensure there is no barrier to professionals investing in themselves and their career.

“These new MBA+ features will play a major role in helping our students gain incredible outcomes from their MBA investment at a very competitive price. We are the first to bundle access to short courses giving students the opportunity to further extend their capabilities.”

When a student signs up to the new MBA+ they will receive a Gold Card, unique to the individual.

From the day students commence studies, the Gold Card will provide five years of exclusive benefits that last long after they graduate:

·         Access to on-campus and online AIM Short Courses for upskilling in critical soft skills such as complex problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, and people management

·         Access to workspaces at AIM Lounges in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Canberra, where 20,000 professionals come together to network and collaborate each year

·         Access to AIM Coaches to help students navigate their skills growth and provide guidance to improve professional profiles

Professor Elizabeth More, Dean of the AIM Business School, said the MBA+ is designed for the working professional.

“The MBA+ is, we believe, the most progressive MBA in Australia, given our students can take units either online or face-to-face in one of our national campuses, both of which provide a rich, interactive learning environment,” she said.

“Assessments are based on workplace reality rather than traditional rote learning and exams. This accords with the real value AIM places on previous management experience. Furthermore, we focus on an academically rigorous, yet practical learning approach by employing facilitators who hold high academic qualifications and years of professional expertise, many as practising consultants.

“A trusted degree, our MBA itself is TEQSA accredited and nationally recognised, backed by a rich 75-year heritage through AIM.”

Accessible entry is available for managers who do not hold prior degrees, but have comprehensive management experience. Alternatively, those who do hold a degree and 2 years’ experience, can gain direct entry to the MBA+.

“We also recognise previous study and appropriate experience through Recognition of Prior Learning and help guide students on a path towards gaining relevant credit towards their qualification, giving them the opportunity to save in cost and complete sooner,” Professor More said.
