World Ocean Day Ball 2018

Marine Biologist, Shark Scientist and UNAAWA Ocean Lead, Amanda Elizabeth, is hosting Perth’s first World Ocean Day Ball in celebration of World Oceans Day 2018, taking place on Friday the 8th of June this year. The event has been organised in collaboration with Ocean Guardian and the United Nations Association of Australia (WA).

This year, World Ocean Day has chosen to focus on preventing plastic pollution and encouraging solutions for a healthy ocean. The event, taking place in the historic ballroom at Pagoda Resort and Spa, will feature three key industry guest speakers, live music, door prizes and a three-course meal to celebrate the day.

Guest speakers include:
Dr Mark Meekan, Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS)
Dr Ben Fitzpatrick, Oceanwise
Dr John Huisman, Murdoch University

Event details:
The World Ocean Day Ball 2018 is open to anyone and is billed to be a fun, informative and memorable night. The Facebook event page can be found here.
Tickets – individual $150, UNAA (WA) member $140 and table of ten $1400

Dress Code - Black tie with a touch of blue.
