SHANE HEAL CASE DISCONTINUED BY COMMONWEALTH DPP

The Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions Office has today decided to discontinue charges previously laid by ASIC against Shane Heal that were due to be heard in Brisbane’s District Court next week.
 
The case, which was listed to start as a trial on Monday May 14, will now no longer proceed.
 
Darren Mahony of Jacobson Mahony Lawyers stated:
 
“I am pleased to confirm that the proceedings against Mr. Shane Heal were discontinued this afternoon by the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions Office. Shane has always maintained his innocence and has been vigorous in his defence”
 
Shane Heal stated:
 
“I am very pleased with the outcome. I have always stated my innocence and have fought this from day one. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me through these difficult times, especially my family and close friends. I look forward to the future.”
