Big Wet’s ‘Water For Africa’ Campaign Raises $5000

Natural spring water delivery service Big Wet has raised $5000 for their ‘Water for Africa’ project. On their Facebook page the company said: “We are so proud to announce that thanks to our kind, generous and compassionate community, we have reached our goal of raising and donating $5,000 to build a well in Africa! Water For Africa has now received our funds and can begin work on a well that will save lives by giving an entire community access to clean drinking water.”

Big Wet teamed up with Water for Africa, Australia to build a well to provide clean drinking water for the people of Tanzania. Each well cost $5,000 and positively impacts the lives of 2,000 people. The company has been fundraising for the last few months and the campaign was publicised extensively through their website and social media platforms.

To help Big Wet reach their goal, they urged customers to participate by liking their page on Facebook, sharing their fundraising posts and by ordering their refreshment deal. Big Wet donated $1 per new page “like” on Facebook; donated $5 for every share of fundraising posts and $50 for every new $49 bottled water deal.  Big Wet’s online community and customers have raised the funds from new page “likes,” post shares and new sign ups to the $49 deal.
