David Begg to head firm's new Government division

The Daylight Agency has cemented its presence in the government and political arena with the appointment of industry veteran, David Begg, to head the firm’s new Government division.

Begg, a practising solicitor for over 28 years, has a strong pedigree in the legal and political world.  He was appointed a partner in a large legal firm and ran his own boutique government relations and advocacy consultancy for many years.  He is also a current board member of the NSW Waratahs.

He has extensive experience working with large commercial clients on high-profile regulatory and legal matters as well as providing strategic political advice.  Sectors he specialises across include finance, insurance, telecommunications, transportation and energy.

Chris Gray, Managing Director, Daylight Agency said: “We are extremely pleased David has chosen to join us at a time when we are undergoing significant growth.  Along with his commercial acumen, David brings an extensive political network and a deep understanding of government relations and strategy.

“He has advised industry associations and professional organisations and now our clients, both current and prospective, can tap into this specialist offering.”

Begg is enthusiastic about working with the Daylight team and integrating his advice into strategic communication programs for the agency’s corporate accounts.

“I’m looking forward to working closely with our clients to analyse issues and develop action plans that are workable within both the political and commercial arenas.”

The Daylight Agency currently services an extensive client portfolio of multi-national, national and local firms from its Sydney office.  The agency is a one stop communication hub offering advertising, digital and social, marketing, public relations and reputation management.
