Perfect for plant based diets (gluten free, soy free, dairy free, whey free, sugar free, all natural)

Fuelling health-conscious people with a range of nutritious make-at-home mixes since 2010, The Protein Bread Co. has now launched a Plant Based Range free from whey and other dairy products, providing an excellent option for anyone following a plant-based ketogenic, low carbohydrate, sugar free, dairy free or high protein diet.

The new range includes a high protein, low carb cookie mix for the first time, whey-free pizza base and protein pancake mixes – and the much-loved limited edition Protein Banana Bread is here to stay.

“Plant-based diets are gaining a lot of traction in the health and fitness space, but it can sometimes be difficult to minimise carbs and get an adequate amount of protein following a vegetarian or vegan diet,” Founder Luke Hopkins says.

“Our new Plant Based Range makes it really easy to stick to a vegetarian diet while being mindful of getting your protein and carb macros right to sustain your workouts and power through your busy day,” he says.

“We’ve introduced Protein Cookies to the range which is what I’m most excited about,” Luke says. “These make an ideal pre- or post-workout snack or a healthy option to go with your afternoon coffee.”

Banana bread is here to stay

Since launching a limited release of Protein Banana Bread just weeks ago, sales surpassed expectations, with a whopping 1200 packs sold online in the first day, along with hundreds of five-star customer reviews.

“We were overcome with positive feedback from our limited edition Protein Banana Bread and sold out in just 2 weeks,” Luke says. “We took all the feedback on board and we think our customers will be very happy to hear our Protein Banana Bread is here to stay.”

While the typical cafe-style banana bread contains around 50 grams of carbohydrates from refined sugar and processed white flour, The Protein Bread Co.’s Protein Banana Bread contains only 9 grams of carbs and packs in 15 grams of protein per slice.

Free from whey, dairy, soy, gluten and sugar

The Plant Based Range is free from whey and any other dairy products. All Protein Bread Co. mixes have no added sugar, they are naturally gluten free, and are made with a valuable source of rice protein (no soy) from all natural ingredients.

The predominantly Australian-sourced ingredient list is a mix of nutritious and naturally low carb, high protein and gluten free almond meal, lupin flour, coconut, healthy sunflower seeds and flaxseeds, and sweetened only with natural stevia, xylitol and erythritol sweeteners, with no sugar and no wheat.

High in protein and low in carbs, the plant based range makes it easy to enjoy much healthier versions of pancakes, pizza, cookies and banana bread when following a specialised high protein, low carb or ketogenic lifestyle.

Recipes can be adapted to be vegan

Recipes can be made vegan by using alternative milks such as almond, coconut or soy milk, replacing butter with coconut oil or another plant-based oil, and using an egg replacer such as a Chia 'Egg'.

“The Protein Cookies in particular work really well with egg substitutes and plant-based milks and oils, so they’re great for our vegan friends too,” Luke says. "We're developing more vegan recipes using the entire Plant Based Range – so be on the lookout for those."
