Announcement posted by Uniti Wireless 25 May 2018
Adelaide, May 25, 2018 - NBN disruptor, Uniti Wireless was named one of South Australia’s fastest growing companies in this year’s prestigious BDO and Brand South Australia 2018 Fast Movers SA Awards, entering the list in third spot. Now in its 13th year, the Awards recognise South Australia’s fastest growing and most innovative small to medium enterprises.
Uniti’s exceptional year-on-year growth of 176% compounded annually and innovation in super-fast broadband technology earned its spot on the Fast Movers list.
Commenting on the win, Co-Founder and CEO Che Metcalfe said, “From day one we were driven to solve a key problem that is holding back Australia’s productivity and growth: universal access to reliable and super fast broadband.
“Our rapid growth - in just four years - is proof that we are giving customers just what they want, a reliable and high performance alternative to the NBN and other internet service provider offerings.”
Operating independently to the NBN and ADSL, Uniti Wireless’ ‘fibre through the air’ solution offers a mix of state-of-the-art fixed wireless technology and fibre backhaul, to provide superfast broadband to homes and businesses.
Initially focused on rapidly connecting fixed home and business broadband customers in Adelaide, Uniti expanded its service to Melbourne last year, with plans to roll out to other markets. With reliable connections and speeds of up to 100Mbps available today, without the need to wait for NBN services, Uniti's solution to Australia’s broadband woes is a winner with consumers and business alike.
Angus Strachan from BDO Adelaide said, “Uniti Wireless is a great example of the world-class innovation on offer in South Australia. Companies like Uniti are proof that Adelaide is a hub for innovation and ripe for entrepreneurial investment”.
