BIBO Water is Good for the Environment

Announcement posted by BIBO Water 30 May 2018

A recent discovery of a plastic patch larger than Mexico has been found in the ocean, and it’s estimated that by 2050 there will be roughly 12 billion tons of plastic waste in the ocean and landfills. By reducing use of single use plastic bottles, everyone can help reduce this number. Switching to BIBO is an easy option for those who want a world without plastic bottled water. By replacing expensive bottled water BIBO saves money and the environment. It takes three litres of water and 250ml of oil to produce one litre of bottled water. Only one in five plastic bottles is recycled, the rest end up in landfill or the ocean.

BIBO combines multiple appliances into one energy and water efficient system providing an effective replacement for environmentally unfriendly bottled water. It is a home water filtration system and hot and cold water dispenser all in one. BIBO plumbs into mains water to provide unlimited filtered and purified water. It will produce 15 litres of boiling water and 5 litres of chilled water per hour and recharges quickly when either tank is emptied. The company is dedicated to providing Australians with a healthy and convenient source of clean, pure, refreshing, hot and cold filtered water on tap.

It uses the latest technology in water filtration – multistage carbon filtration in combination with UV lamp purification. The carbon filter removes impurities, sediment, tastes, odours, chlorine, heavy metals, and cysts such as cryptosporidium leaving the good minerals behind. The UV lamp kills bacteria and pathogens which may be present in your tap water.  BIBO is certified to the Watermark standard and meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

BIBO combines multiple appliances into one energy and water efficient system providing an effective replacement for environmentally unfriendly bottled water. For a machine that filters, purifies, chills, and boils water BIBO is energy efficient compared to boiling a kettle many times a day or refrigerating water bottles. Its insulation system ensures it uses minimum energy to maintain temperatures. BIBO has menu programs to customise it to needs. These include energy saving sleep modes that power down the machine when not in use. To power up simply touch a button and it takes no time to get back up to speed.

BIBO does not remove fluoride from tap water. If this is a concern customers can easily purchase a separate fluoride filter from any filter store and install it under the sink between the mains and the BIBO connection. BIBO comes in 10 designer colours: Silver, Black, White, Burgundy Red, Cream, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, and Orange. Customers can view these can be seen on the Shop page of their website.

BIBO Australia have over 25 years’ experience in the water industry and are passionate about promoting people’s health and wellbeing through good hydration.
