Key-Endura Panels Used in St Paul’s College Multipurpose Hall

Acoustics specialists Keystone were involved in a project at St Paul’s College, Manly featuring Key-Endura perforated fibre cement ceiling panels. With a growing focus on fire resistance rating, Key Endura is growing in popularity meeting Group 1 Fire Rating. Keystone worked with Tanner Kibble Denton Architects and Avium Pty Ltd to deliver this project.

St Paul’s College, Manly, is part of St Patrick’s Estate listed on the NSW State Heritage Register. The multipurpose hall is the first stage of a series of works allowing for the renewal of the school and provides an indoor venue to accommodate its 675 students, and various school functions from sports and performing arts through to hospitality with the articulation of indoor and outdoor spaces.

St Paul’s College Manly is a Secondary School for Boys and is part of the state listed St Patrick’s Estate. St Paul’s was established on the site in 1964 when the main school teaching buildings were constructed over a number of stages through to the 1970’s. TKD Architects developed a Masterplan for St Paul’s allowing for the renewal of the school in stages to continue its operations during construction. The first stage is the Multipurpose Hall to provide an indoor venue to accommodate its 675 students.

The Multipurpose Hall has been designed to meet the requirements of the Secondary Schools Facilities Standards, compliance with current building codes, accessibility requirements and current curriculum standards. A number of programs will be accommodated in the hall including school assembly, a gymnasium, indoor sports events, examinations, functions and performances. The building also incorporates amenities, teaching facilities for hospitality, visual arts, and performance in the undercroft spaces below, including a theatre with tiered seating to accommodate 130 people
