AIIA SA/NT iAwards showcases excellence in Australian innovation

Adelaide, Australia – 14 June 2018 -- The Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), the nation’s peak industry body for the technology sector, has today announced the South Australia/Northern Territory iAwards winners for 2018. AIIA’s iAwards, now celebrating 25 years, is Australia’s leading awards program for innovation in the digital economy.
 
Awards were presented in categories comprising Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning, Business Service Markets, Consumer Markets, Infrastructure & Platforms, Public Sector & Government, Research & Development, Startups, Students, and the SA Premier's iAward for public sector innovation.
 
Keynote speakers included The Hon. David Pisoni MP, SA Minister for Industry and Skills; and Marie Johnson, Managing Director and Chief Digital Officer of the Centre for Digital Business.
 
Rob Fitzpatrick, AIIA CEO, said the 2018 finalists added to the iAwards’ legacy of recognising the important work being done in Australian innovation.

Winners and merit recipients across all categories will go on to represent SA/NT and compete at the National iAwards. National winners will be announced on 30 August 2018 at the prestigious 2018 National iAwards Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony, held in Melbourne, which will be attended by startups, innovators, investors, business and community leaders, and federal and state politicians.
