Government grant bolsters Argus TrueID to become a global biometrics leader.

Sydney (Friday 15th 2017) Argus TrueID, a global leader in biometric identity solutions, today hosted Australian Federal Minister for Jobs and Innovation, Michaelia Cash, to showcase how biometric solutions developed at Argus’ Sydney headquarters are helping organisations across the world to improve security, streamline process, and increase efficiency through certainty of identity.
Ken Farrow, Executive Chairman of Argus TrueID, took Senator Cash through the Argus TrueID solution, showcasing how biometrics can assist a range of industries to improve their operations.
The visit highlighted the benefit Argus has gained from a recent AusIndustry grant, designed to support organisations to drive innovation and access new markets. “The AusIndustry grant enabled our business to develop our core technology, the Argus TrueID platform, so that we could drive further innovation,” said Farrow. “We’re now in a position where we can take our biometric technology into any industry, providing unique solutions to a variety of identity-related challenges. A good example is the solution we have built for the childcare industry, as a direct result of the grant. The solution enables childcare centres to increase security, while reducing process and administrative bottlenecks,” added Farrow.
Senator Cash, who was joined by local Member for Bennelong, John Alexander, addressed the media to praise Argus’ success in delivering solutions both here in Australia and around the world.
“What the Senator’s visit shows is that with the right support, businesses such as Argus TrueID can harness the digital era and be at the forefront of technology. Argus has seen rapid growth in the past three years, in both size and revenue, and we’re continuing to focus on providing solutions that match our core vision: To protect our communities.
